Lens Materials
Polycarbonate
Our safety eyewear lenses are made from Polycarbonate, among today’s most advanced materials. Originally developed for aerospace applications, Polycarbonate is used in astronaut helmets and space shuttle windshields.
Polycarbonate lenses are lightweight, impact-resistant, and offer 100% UV protection. Polycarbonate lenses have become the industry standard for safety glasses, sports goggles and children’s eyewear.
Trivex
Specially developed for optical precision, Trivex is among today’s most lightweight
lens materials providing all-day comfort while optimizing every prescription for a
clear sharp viewing experience. Offering 100% UV protection, it is a highly durable
material, ideal for work in hazardous environments, rough and tumble play,
sports, or for every day protection from life’s surprises.
Transitions® Signature® lenses
These lenses are designed to quickly adapt from clear indoors to fully dark in the brightest sun, offering a distinct advantage over clear lenses. Transitions Signature lenses continuously adapt to changing light so they are always exactly the shade needed. Available in tints of grey or brown, Transitions Signature lenses
block 100% of UVA & UVB rays.
Polarized lenses
Polarized lenses are unique in their ability to eliminate blinding glare, while enhancing visual acuity, color contrast and visual comfort. In addition, they provide 100% blocking of harmful UVA and UVB rays. Available in grey, brown, photo grey and photo brown, polarized lenses suit any lifestyle.
Tinted lenses
Eyres Safety Lenses are also available tinted, in a fashionable shade of Grey. Tinted lenses provide permanent UV protection with an original sunglass look.
